It looks nice.

Kinja'd!!!

As does the interior...

Kinja'd!!!

But it makes me appreciate the interior build quality of my Fiesta, which says a lot of bad things. Keep in mind, this particular car has half of the miles of Kona.

Also, how did they manage to remove all of the feel from it? It drives fine, but it just feels wrong.

I spent 9 hours driving a hyundai today. The steering is unacceptable , it is dull and the exaggerates the slightest input. It’s work to keep it in a straight line. I can take my hands off the wheel in the M3 and it’ll continue on straight and true, the hyundai probably into the next lane. It really is appalling.

It also pretty much requires cruise control. You either are sailing ahead, or dropping quickly. And the low fuel light comes on with nearly 3 gallons left.

Are we back to NOT hating the FiST again? I’m going to have to start taking notes on you people.

I had a Kia some piece of shit as a rental car in 2015, did not have cruise I wanted to crash it into a wall.

The M3 can beat that, it’s low fuel light comes on with a quarter tank left.

The big issue was caused by me, it’s fixed now. Still annoyed with the exterior, but it drives fine.

Mine comes on at 50 miles to empty.

That’s about 4 gallons in the M3, aka a quarter tank.

If I’m soft with it, that’s like a gallon and a half in the FiST.

The M3 doesn’t understand good fuel economy. It’s like, you’ve got money right? Good, you’re spending it on me.

My 4Runner was like, “So you are stuck driving a 20 year old Toyota? I’m going to keep you poor.”

I test drove an 80s Hyundai Excel. Horrid panel gaps, rubbery shifter, crap clutch, bad assembly. All these years later, Korean cars are every bit what Japanese cars were in the late 80s, and more. Kia especially - they’re screwed together with great care.

My neighbor had one until someone crashed into him. I thought the interior was good for a premium car on the level of a Buick or Acura. Having owned a Mazda for 12 years, though, I’ve developed an allergy to cheap silver paint trim.

When did Oppo ever hate the FiST? I must have missed that day.

My old 97 Accord and the light come on with 4 gallons in the tank. Forum research showed that Honda did it because they had problems because the fuel pumps would burn up of the tank for down to a gallon or less.

It’s interesting you say burn your fuel pump. In mid-2010 my grandparents gave my family a 2002 Explorer they had bought new. Later in the year, it wouldn’t start at times. My 1997 Explorer had the same problem starting and it was eventually diagnosed as a cam position sensor. Considering they both had the same engine, 4.0L SOHC V6, we assumed it was the same problem, so we changed the cam position sensor. Whether that was also a problem we don’t know, but the problem came back. After finals that year, I went to the junkyard with a friend as sort of a reward. I drove the Explorer to the junkyard, but when I was done, it wouldn’t start. So I had to leave it. Usually if you left it for sometime it would restart. Came back the next day and nothing. Called a tow truck and got it towed to a shop. Turned out the fuel pump was burned out. I guess my grandparents drove it up and down the mountain they live on too many times with a low tank. My mom got a 2014 RDX and to prevent the same issue, my dad told my mom to fill it up at a quarter tank.

Exactly! It’s one of my car-fears as it’s not a side-of-the-road fix (at least on my car). I even have a digital fuel reader and I do the math with my trip meters so I won’t run low.

My gas gauges have been pretty reliable and I don’t want to run out, so normally I fill it up when it’s around a quarter tank. It’s not like I can’t afford to fill it up or it’s gonna magically refill itself, so I just fill it up. You’re going to have to eventually do it.
